Our u18.5s got the season off to a competitive start in the North Munster league on Sunday morning with a win over a strong Newcastle West/Abbeyfeale side. 
Our lads won 26-15, hard earned but showed some great promise for the coming season.
After almost beating ourselves by giving away so much ball and penalties, the lads battled on and settled at times to produce some good opportunities that led to good tries from Darragh Gleeson, Ryan Gratten, Valters Janitens, Diarmuid Gleeson, with Darragh Gleeson also converting 3 kicks.
 With continued hard work this group has shown so early in the season the lads should produce some good rugby for the season ahead. 
Great to see such a big crowd out supporting our youths on a Sunday morning in the newly revamped New Ormond Park.
